Request an introductionA transformative venue in Kobe
A personalised experience for a curated group of visionaries striving for excellence — set against the frontier of longevity and human biology.
Two weeks of building and living.
A temporary living lab — we work on what matters, put promising tools into people's hands, and inhabit a version of the future we're trying to build.
The build
- Founder progress — protected building time, peer feedback, focused workshops and hands-on strategic support toward one concrete objective.
- Project testing — selected prototypes and interventions put into real use, with structured feedback and a clear assumption to test.
- Kobe ecosystem access — private visits to the Kobe SEZ and its adjacent companies, researchers, investors and practitioners.
The life
- Health & longevity — better sleep, nutrition, movement, recovery and self-measurement, with optional N=1 protocols built around founder life.
- Living together — the house as team base, co-living space and exhibition in one, lived as if we already inhabit the future we envision.
A private residence on Suidoji.
A quiet third-floor home on Kobe's Suidoji shopping street — three bedrooms, room for six, with a kitchen and restaurant below and a second-floor lounge that becomes our community and exhibition space. Nine minutes on foot from JR Maya and Hankyu Oji Koen.
Inside the world's boldest biotech.
Days are punctuated by private visits into the Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster — Japan's densest concentration of cell, gene and longevity research, opened to us under introduction.
Cell & Gene Therapy
Walk the floors where Japan's expedited pathways — Sakigake and conditional approval — turn frontier science into treatment faster than anywhere on earth.
AI × Bio & Diagnostics
Sessions with the labs pairing machine intelligence with living systems — protein design, biomarkers, and the next generation of diagnostics.
Longevity & Biostasis
Private conversations with researchers extending healthy human lifespan — from regenerative medicine to the science of preservation.
Three ways in.
The core team lives in the house. A small number of others join as residents, bring a project to test, or come for selected sessions.
Join as a resident
Live and work with us in the house, improve your health and working rhythms, and make real progress on a defined objective. Three bedrooms, five beds — two places already taken.
Bring a project to test
Locally or remotely, offer a product, prototype or intervention for the group to test — and receive structured feedback from residents and invited practitioners.
Join a session or visit
Take part in selected workshops, demonstrations and feedback sessions, or in private visits to the Kobe SEZ and its surrounding ecosystem.
Sanctuary · Kobe takes place in the context of Mirai Tech Pop-Up City — a month of longevity biomedical in Japan, gathered to keep the doors of borderless biotech open.
